OFFICIAL RULES: “STUDENT CENTER BOARD OF ADVISORS’ FACE COVERING DESIGN CONTEST”

ELIGIBILITY: The “STUDENT CENTER BOARD OF ADVISORS’ FACE COVERING DESIGN CONTEST” is open to UCI students with a valid UCI email address. Opportunity ends at 11:59 p.m., May 5, 2021. Original artwork or designs only. Multiple submissions accepted. A maximum of two (2) allowable semi-finalist designs per person, subject to change and remains the sole discretion of the Student Center Board of Advisors based on the total number of eligible entrants received. By submitting a design for consideration in the “STUDENT CENTER BOARD OF ADVISORS’ FACE COVERING DESIGN CONTEST,” you agree to take full responsibility for copyright ownership. Moreover, you authorize the Regents of the University of California on behalf of its Irvine Campus (UC Irvine) to use the intellectual property that results from the contest scheduled to run from April 21, 2021 to June 4, 2021 for use by Student Center Board of Advisors for publicity purposes.
TO ENTER: Create a UCI-themed face covering design with one of the supplied templates on the Student Center website at www.studentcenter.uci.edu/home/student-center-board-of-advisors/face-covering-design-contest/. Submit original face covering design online using the “Face Covering Design Contest” form located on the Student Center website at www.studentcenter.uci.edu/home/student-center-board-of-advisors/face-covering-design-contest/ before 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Or email face covering design by attaching image of design (EPS or PDF, 300 dpi minimum image quality) to Sarah Prom at sarah.prom@uci.edu and include the name of the person who created the design, student status (graduate or undergraduate), major, and expected graduation year.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: One (1) grand prize; one (1) second-place prize; and one (1) third-place price will be selected. Beginning May 6, 2021, Student Center & Event Services Marketing Team will review all of the designs submitted. Up to 12 semi-finalist designs will be chosen on or around May 7, 2021 based on adherence to UCI Brand Identity Guidelines, overall aesthetics, and vendor-readiness for reproduction. Beginning May 10, 2021 and continuing through May 24, 2021, UCI students will vote on their design of choice. The grand prize, second-place prize, and third-place prize winners will be identified by the number of votes submitted. In the event of a tie, Student Center Board of Advisors will decide the winner. The grand-prize winning design will be reproduced at no cost to the artist for distribution on the UCI campus. Winners will be notified and announced by June 11, 2021.
PRIZES: One (1) grand prize $75 eGift Card to The Hill. One (1) second-place prize $50 eGift Card to The Hill. One (1) third-place prize $25 eGift Card to The Hill. eGift Cards may be used online or in-store.
ODDS OF WINNING: Varies based on total number of eligible entrants received.
