“BINGO NIGHT” OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PLAY OR TO WIN.
ELIGIBILITY: “BINGO NIGHT” is open to current UCI students only with a valid UCInetID. Must be 18 or older to play. Members of the Student Center Board of Advisors are not eligible. Student Employees of UCI are ineligible to play while on shift/working. Bingo Night occurs Thursday, February 2, 2023 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ends no later than 7:00 p.m.
TWO WAYS TO PLAY: An eligible student may play in person or online. Limit either one (1) virtual Bingo card or one (1) paper Bingo card per eligible student. In-person players may choose between a virtual Bingo card or a paper Bingo card. Online players can use a virtual Bingo card only. Players using a virtual Bingo card will access the game via https://www.bingomaker.com. Play up to a maximum of twelve (12) games.
TO PLAY IN PERSON, students can register at the registration desk in person or online at https://cglink.me/2eo/r1926277 at any time before the last game is played. A confirmation email will be sent to registrants. Registration may be canceled at any time. Only those with a confirmed registration will be eligible to play. Any registrations that exceed the 168 in-person capacity will be placed on a waitlist.
In-person play will occur at the Student Center in Doheny Beach Room AB beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ending no later than 7:00 p.m. Electronic Bingo cards will be distributed for viewing on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Limit one electronic Bingo card per player. Messaging and data rates may apply. Paper Bingo cards available upon request. Limit one paper card per player.
TO PLAY ONLINE, students register online before 12:00 p.m. (noon) Thursday, February 2, 2023 at https://cglink.me/2eo/r1926277. A confirmation email will be sent to registrants. Registrations may be canceled at any time. Only those with a confirmed registration will be eligible to play. Any registrations that exceed the 1,664-person virtual capacity will be placed on a waitlist. Game link with Access Code and optional Discord link will be emailed by 3:00 p.m., Thursday February 2, 2023. Limit one Access Code per player.
Online play can occur from any location the player joins. Instructions on how and when to join will be emailed to players. The game will be hosted online and requires a stable Internet connection. Electronic Bingo cards will be available for viewing on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer connected to the Internet. Limit one electronic Bingo card per player. Messaging and data rates may apply.
All players must be ready at the start of each game. New players will be blocked from joining a game after it has begun. New players can join at the start of a new game only.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: In-person player who is the first to cover all required spaces during a game who calls “Bingo” or an online player who is the first to cover/tap all required spaces during a game via the online game system will be added to the winner’s list.
When a player calls “Bingo” or is placed on the winner’s list automatically while playing online, the caller will stop the game. Cards on the winner’s list will be validated. If a card cannot be validated, the game will resume. If more than one winning card has been validated as a winner, a random drawing will declare the winner. One winner per game.
PRIZES: Winners will be awarded one of twelve (12) prizes. Prize value and item(s) will be announced prior to the start of each game. Prize values range between $25 and $75 each. Online winners will be instructed via email on when and at what location in the Student Center they can come pick up their prize. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited if arrangements for pick-up have not been made prior to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February, 9, 2023).
The number of prizes awarded will be determined by the number of games played but not exceeding twelve (12) prizes or $500 in total prizes. Limit one (1) prize winner per game. An individual player may win multiple times.
ODDS OF WINNING: Varies based on the total number of players. The fewer the number of players, the better the odds of winning.
PRIZE WINNERS may opt in/out of consent to the use of their name, photographic image, degree, and expected graduation date in electronic marketing and promotional materials, including the Student Center & Event Services’ website and social media.
SPONSOR: The Student Center Board of Advisors in collaboration with Student Center & Event Services reserve the right to discontinue or change these Official Rules at any time.
