Need help hosting your large event online? Work with the Student Center & Event Services (SCES) team to set up a Zoom webinar with up to 1,000 participants (includes hosts, panelists, and attendees).
Student Center & Event Services will provide event-related services such as:
- Zoom webinar account management
- Registration and reminder emails
- Designating your speakers & panelists
- Managing attendee engagement with Q&A and polling features
- Report generation and analytics
- A training session scheduled with SCES tech support
- SCES tech support throughout the duration of your event
Why work with Student Center & Event Services to host your online event?
We have purchased two Zoom webinar accounts so that you do not have to make that large investment for your event. Our team will consult with you to determine the best format and Zoom features to incorporate into your online event. We will then set up the Zoom webinar, schedule a training session, and manage the behind-the-scenes of your event.
What is the difference between a Zoom webinar vs a meeting?
Meetings allow all participants to manage their video and audio, share screens, and see who else is participating in the meeting.
Webinars allow the host to designate speakers and manage attendee engagement through Q&A, chat, and polling questions. Attendees have view-only access.
Current UCI students and employees have the ability to host meetings with up to 300 participants. Student Center & Event Services has the ability to help you host webinars with up to 1,000 view-only participants (includes hosts, panelists, and view-only attendees).
